The QX50 was one of Infiniti’s more compact interpretations of the luxury crossover, but the 3.7-liter version gave it considerably more mechanical substance than its size might suggest. Its relatively compact body and five-door practicality were paired with a longitudinal V6 and rear-biased all-wheel-drive architecture, creating a crossover with a distinctly performance-oriented foundation. That setup helped separate the QX50 from softer, efficiency-first rivals, particularly for drivers who still appreciated a naturally aspirated engine and conventional mechanical feel.
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 producing 316 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. A seven-speed automatic transmission sends power through all-wheel drive, while the QX50 reaches 149 mph. With 0–60 mph taking just 6.2 seconds, the compact Infiniti has the pace to match its athletic proportions, making its high-revving V6 the defining feature of the package.
