Long after the QX70’s basic shape had become familiar, Infiniti kept its naturally aspirated V6 at the heart of the range, giving this crossover a character that felt increasingly unusual in an era moving toward turbocharged engines. The 3.7-liter version was less about imposing size and more about pairing the QX70’s low, coupe-like profile with a responsive petrol engine. Its long hood, swept roofline, and broad stance made it one of those SUVs that seemed designed with the driver in mind rather than simply maximizing cabin space. In 2013–2017, that formula remained remarkably distinctive.
The naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 develops 316 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, with peak power arriving at 7,000 rpm. A seven-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels, and 0–60 mph takes 6.6 seconds. The high-revving engine gives the QX70 a distinctly different personality from its diesel and V8 siblings, combining smooth power delivery with genuinely brisk performance.
