The Tourneo Connect was already a practical people carrier, but Ford’s move to the newer 1.5-liter TDCi gave this version a more refined and efficient personality. The 2015–2022 Tourneo Connect 1.5 TDCi 120 S/S belongs to the second-generation model’s later diesel lineup, combining the compact proportions of the standard Connect with the everyday flexibility expected from a family-oriented MPV. Its upright cabin and adaptable interior make it equally comfortable serving as family transport or handling the sort of errands that require extra room.
Under the bonnet, the 1.5-liter turbo-diesel develops 118 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, with the torque arriving at 1,750 rpm. That gives the Connect useful pulling power without relying on a large engine, while the 53.5 mpg combined figure highlights the efficiency that makes this version particularly suited to regular mileage. A 12.2-second 0–60 mph time is adequate for its purpose, but economy and usability are much more central to its character. The result is a practical diesel MPV that puts everyday running costs and flexibility ahead of outright performance.
