By the middle of its production run, the Venga had settled into a role as Kia’s compact answer for drivers who valued cabin space without wanting a bulky vehicle. The 1.6 version kept that practical philosophy but gave it a little more energy, using a naturally aspirated petrol engine and a choice of manual or automatic gearing. Its upright shape remained focused on usable interior room, easy access and everyday visibility, making this Venga more about making routine journeys simple than chasing attention on the road.
From 2015–2019, the Venga 1.6 produces 123 hp and 115 lb-ft from its naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Kia offered either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, with front-wheel drive as standard. The manual version reaches 60 mph in 10.6 seconds and has a 114-mph top speed, giving the compact MPV enough performance for both city duties and motorway travel.
