Think of the Venga less as a conventional hatchback and more as a small room on wheels. Kia gave it a tall roof, upright seating and a compact footprint, creating a car that could make tight streets and routine family trips feel surprisingly manageable. The 1.4 petrol version fits that philosophy particularly well: its uncomplicated engine delivers predictable responses, while the five-door body keeps access and everyday usability at the forefront. It is a practical design exercise rather than a car built around performance theatrics.
For 2015–2019, the Venga 1.4 uses a naturally aspirated 1.4-liter inline-four producing 89 hp and 101 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels, giving the compact MPV a 12.4-second 0–60 mph time and a 104-mph top speed. The modest figures reflect its purpose, with straightforward drivability taking priority over outright pace.
