Not every small car was designed around a low roof and sporty stance. The Venga took the opposite route, using a tall, compact body to make its cabin feel unusually open for something with such a modest footprint. That emphasis on space and straightforward usability defined the model more than outright performance. The naturally aspirated petrol version was particularly uncomplicated, giving everyday drivers a conventional powertrain and an easy-going character suited to commuting, errands and family use rather than fast-road driving.
With the 2010–2015 Venga 1.4 CVVT, Kia fitted a naturally aspirated 1.4-liter four-cylinder producing 89 hp and 101 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual gearbox sends the output to the front wheels, while 0–60 mph takes 12.4 seconds and top speed is 104 mph. The modest powertrain complements the Venga’s practical mission, prioritizing predictable responses over performance.
