A compact MPV does not need to be exciting on paper to be useful in real life, and the Venga 1.6 CRDi 128 was built around that idea. Its taller body and compact footprint made it an easy fit for everyday family driving, while the stronger diesel engine gave it the flexibility needed when the car was loaded with passengers or luggage. Compared with the smaller diesel Venga, this version brought a more substantial reserve of torque without losing the model’s emphasis on sensible, space-efficient transport.
The 2015–2019 Venga 1.6 CRDi 128 uses a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel producing 126 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox drives the front wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 10.8 seconds and top speed reaching 115 mph. Its combination of low-rev pulling power and modest fuel consumption makes the engine particularly well matched to the Venga’s practical family-oriented role.
