The Caterham Seven 340 takes the brand’s lightweight philosophy into a more approachable performance package, using a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter Ford Duratec inline-four producing 166 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque. Its rear-wheel-drive configuration and 5-speed manual transmission deliver a 4.9-second 0–60 mph time and 130 mph top speed, while the front-mid-mounted longitudinal engine and 1,235-pound curb weight give it a 7.43 lb/hp power-to-weight ratio.
The 2022–2026 sports roadster keeps its chassis deliberately simple, with double-wishbone front suspension and a DeDion rear axle complemented by vented front discs, rear disc brakes and 185/60R14 tyres.
