The 1982–1986 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole builds on the Mondial’s four-seat format with a more developed 2.9-liter naturally aspirated V8 producing 237 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. With rear-wheel drive and a 5-speed manual transmission, it reaches 60 mph in 7.2 seconds and has a 149 mph top speed. Its rear-mid-mounted Dino (F105 A) engine uses DOHC, four valves per cylinder and multi-point fuel injection, combining Ferrari’s distinctive V8 character with the Mondial’s practical grand-touring layout.
Double-wishbone suspension at both ends and vented disc brakes front and rear support the car’s sporting chassis. The Mondial Quattrovalvole weighs 3,263 pounds and seats four, with 10.6 ft³ of luggage space. Measuring 180.3 × 70.5 × 49.6 inches with a 104.3-inch wheelbase, it also carries a 23-gallon fuel tank and returns 16.6 mpg combined, giving it a listed 380-mile total range.
