The Mitsubishi 3000GT 4x4 arrived during an era when Japanese performance coupes were challenging established sports-car makers with increasingly sophisticated engineering. Its broad stance, long bonnet, and rounded, aerodynamic bodywork gave it a distinctive presence, but its real appeal went beyond styling. Mitsubishi combined a twin-turbocharged V6 with all-wheel drive, creating a grand touring coupe designed to put its power down confidently in changing conditions. The result was a technically ambitious machine that blended everyday usability with the kind of performance hardware that made the 3000GT stand out among 1990s Japanese sports cars.
For 1993–2000, the 3000GT 4x4 uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing 282 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. Its five-speed manual transmission works with all-wheel drive to deliver traction under acceleration, while the coupe reaches 155 mph. A 5.7-second 0–60 mph time gives this Mitsubishi strong performance, and its 2+2 seating makes it more versatile than a strict two-seat sports car.
