The Venturi 260 Atlantique was conceived as a lighter, more focused version of the French marque’s mid-engined sports coupe. For this limited-production model, weight-saving measures complemented the familiar PRV-derived V6, while a Garrett turbocharger and intercooler helped deliver strong performance from its compact 2.8-litre engine. The longitudinal rear-mid-engine layout, rear-wheel drive and five-speed manual gearbox gave it a traditional sports-car balance, backed by a chassis developed for demanding road use.
Listed for 1991–1992, the Atlantique 260 produces 256 hp and 319 lb·ft of torque. Its lightweight construction brings the listed curb weight to 2,447 pounds, helping it achieve 0–60 mph in 5.0 seconds. With a claimed 167 mph top speed, this rare two-seat coupe combines French engineering character with serious performance.
