The 1996–2000 Lancia Zeta 2.1 TD brought diesel power to Lancia’s practical European MPV range. Developed as part of the Eurovan family, the Zeta combined a spacious seven-seat cabin with front-wheel drive and a versatile interior suited to family and long-distance use. Its turbocharged diesel engine emphasized useful torque and cruising ability, giving the large MPV an economical character while retaining the practicality expected from a family-focused vehicle.
The 1996–2000 Zeta 2.1 TD uses a turbocharged 2.1-liter inline-four diesel producing 108 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 12.9 seconds and top speed reaching 109 mph. Its combination of front-wheel drive, seven-seat practicality and strong diesel torque gave the Zeta 2.1 TD a useful foundation for family and long-distance driving.
