The TVR Cerbera 4.2 established itself as an unconventional British sports coupé, combining dramatic styling with a muscular V8 powertrain. Its long bonnet, low roofline and sculpted body give it an unmistakable presence, while the four-seat interior offers more versatility than many dedicated sports cars. A front-mounted engine drives the rear wheels, and double-wishbone suspension at both ends provides the mechanical foundation for its performance-focused character. Its distinctive design reflects TVR's approach to building powerful sports cars outside the mainstream.
Produced from 1996–1999, the Cerbera 4.2 features a 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine with a SOHC valvetrain and multi-point fuel injection. It develops 345 hp at 6,500 rpm and 302 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm, connected to a five-speed manual transmission. Its rear-wheel-drive configuration delivers a 0–60 mph time of 4.4 seconds and a 160 mph top speed. With seating for four and 13.8 cubic feet of luggage capacity, it combines serious performance with the practicality of a sports coupé.
