The TVR Cerbera 4.2 combines dramatic British sports-car styling with the character of a naturally aspirated V8. Its long bonnet, low roofline and muscular proportions create an unmistakable presence, while the four-seat cabin gives it greater versatility than many traditional sports coupés. A front-mounted engine sends power to the rear wheels, and double-wishbone suspension at both ends supports its performance-focused chassis. Its distinctive design and relatively lightweight construction make it an engaging alternative to more conventional grand touring cars.
Produced from 1999–2005, the Cerbera 4.2 uses a 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine with a SOHC valvetrain and multi-point fuel injection. It produces 355 hp at 6,500 rpm and 320 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Power is delivered to the rear wheels, enabling a 0–60 mph time of 4.1 seconds and a 160 mph top speed. With seating for four and 13.8 cubic feet of luggage capacity, it balances serious performance with the practicality of a sports coupé.
