The Morgan Plus 8 4.8 brings a distinctly muscular personality to the traditional British roadster. Its long bonnet, low-slung body and classic open-top proportions preserve Morgan’s handcrafted identity, but the broad V8 power delivery gives this sports car a more forceful character than its vintage-inspired appearance might suggest. The aluminium chassis helps keep weight down, allowing the car to combine old-school visual charm with serious performance. Rather than chasing the increasingly digital feel of modern sports cars, the Plus 8 puts its emphasis on mechanical response, rear-wheel-drive balance and the sound of a large naturally aspirated engine. It is a distinctive choice for drivers who appreciate craftsmanship but still expect genuinely rapid performance.
Produced from 2013 to 2018, the Plus 8 4.8 uses a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8 producing 362 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, delivering a claimed 0–60 mph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Its two-seat convertible layout keeps the focus on the driver, while double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension support its sporting character.
