The 2017–2021 Lotus Exige Cup 430 takes the lightweight Exige formula to a more extreme level, combining a compact Sports Targa Top body with substantial aerodynamic and chassis-focused performance. Its two-seat layout, rear-mid engine position, and rear-wheel drive preserve the direct character of the Exige, while the high-output powertrain gives it the pace expected from a track-oriented flagship. The emphasis remains firmly on reducing weight and maximizing the connection between the driver and the car.
A 3.5-liter supercharged V6 produces 430 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. With a curb weight of 2,447 lb, the Cup 430 reaches 174 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Double-wishbone suspension and vented disc brakes front and rear support its performance-focused setup, while the combination of low mass and strong V6 output gives the Cup 430 its distinctive balance of acceleration, agility, and mechanical involvement.
