The Q50 2.0t gave Infiniti’s sport sedan a different kind of performance character by replacing the larger engines in the range with a compact turbocharged four-cylinder. Rather than chasing outright power, this version focused on delivering strong low-end response while keeping the Q50’s rear-wheel-drive layout and premium-sedan proportions. The longitudinal engine placement and balanced chassis setup also helped it retain the driving-oriented character expected from Infiniti, making the smaller-engined Q50 more than simply an entry-level alternative.
The 2014–2018 Q50 2.0t uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four producing 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, while 0–60 mph takes 7.0 seconds and top speed reaches 152 mph.
