The Q70 3.7 represents the traditional side of Infiniti’s large-sedan philosophy, where a long body, rear-wheel drive, and a naturally aspirated V6 take priority over downsized turbocharging. Its formal proportions give it a substantial road presence, but the engine adds a more athletic character beneath the restrained styling. Rather than relying on electrification or forced induction, this Q70 lets its V6 deliver power progressively, preserving the straightforward mechanical feel that defined many performance-oriented luxury sedans of its era. That balance helped make the 3.7 an interesting alternative within Infiniti’s flagship sedan range.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 producing 316 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission drives the rear wheels, while the sedan reaches 155 mph and covers 0–60 mph in 6.0 seconds. For 2014–2026, the combination of a high-revving V6, rear-wheel drive, and conventional automatic transmission gave the Q70 a distinctly traditional performance-luxury character.
