The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is a supercar roadster powered by a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V12 producing 295 hp at 7,200 rpm. Its front-mounted longitudinal engine drives the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission, delivering a 3.9-second 0–60 mph time and a 167-mph top speed. With a curb weight of 1,874 pounds and a 6.35 lb/hp power-to-weight ratio, the 250 Testa Rossa combines very low mass with a highly focused performance character. Its Colombo (250) engine uses SOHC valvetrain, two valves per cylinder and carburetor fuel delivery, while a 9.8:1 compression ratio supports its period Ferrari V12 specification.
The 1957–1961 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa seats two and uses double-wishbone front suspension with a live-axle rear setup. Drum brakes are fitted front and rear, with 550/80R16 front and 600/80R16 rear tyres providing road contact. The roadster rides on a 92.5-inch wheelbase with 51.5-inch front and 51.2-inch rear tracks. Its 37-gallon fuel tank adds useful range for a competition-bred machine, while the lightweight 1,874-pound curb weight remains central to its character. With its front-engine layout, rear-wheel drive and classic V12 configuration, the 250 Testa Rossa represents an important chapter in Ferrari's early racing-oriented roadster lineage.
