The Triumph TR6 2.5 Carburettor retains the muscular character of the TR6 roadster, with a long bonnet, broad front grille and compact two-seat cabin that give it a purposeful British appearance. Its open body preserves the traditional sports-car driving experience, while the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and semi-trailing-arm rear suspension provide a conventional sporting foundation. Unlike fuel-injected TR6 versions, this model uses carburettor fuel delivery, giving it a distinct mechanical identity within the range's six-cylinder variants.
Produced from 1969–1971, the TR6 uses a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-six gasoline engine with an OHV valvetrain and carburetor fuel delivery. It produces 104 hp at 4,500 rpm and 143 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm, paired with a four-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. Its performance includes a 0–60 mph time of 10.4 seconds and a 109 mph top speed. With seating for two and 5.8 cubic feet of luggage capacity, it combines sporting character with practical roadster proportions.
