The Triumph TR6 2.5 PI combines muscular British roadster styling with a powerful fuel-injected six-cylinder powertrain. Its long bonnet, broad front grille and compact two-seat cockpit create a purposeful appearance, while the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout preserves a conventional sports-car arrangement. The semi-trailing-arm rear suspension adds a distinctive chassis configuration, complementing its traditional open-top character. Its combination of straightforward mechanical engineering, distinctive styling and six-cylinder performance gives it a strong identity within the TR6 range.
Produced from 1968–1972, the TR6 2.5 PI uses a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-six gasoline engine with an OHV valvetrain and fuel injection. It produces 150 hp at 5,500 rpm and 164 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm, paired with a four-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. Its performance includes a 0–60 mph time of 7.9 seconds and a 119 mph top speed. With seating for two and 5.8 cubic feet of luggage capacity, it combines strong performance with practical roadster proportions.
