The Triumph TR6 2.5 Carburettor retains the muscular character of the TR6 roadster, with a long bonnet, broad front grille and compact two-seat cabin that give it a purposeful British appearance. Its open body keeps the driving experience close to the traditional sports-car formula, while the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and semi-trailing-arm rear suspension provide a conventional sporting foundation. Unlike fuel-injected TR6 versions, this model uses carburettor fuel delivery, giving it a distinct place among the range's six-cylinder variants.
Produced from 1972–1976, the TR6 2.5 Carburettor uses a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-six gasoline engine with an OHV valvetrain. It produces 106 hp at 4,900 rpm and 133 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm, paired with a four-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. AutoSpecsHub lists a 0–60 mph time of 10.2 seconds, a 110 mph top speed and 5.8 cubic feet of luggage capacity, with seating for two.
