The TVR S Series V8S brings a muscular character to the marque's compact convertible range. Its long bonnet, low windscreen and two-seat cockpit create classic British roadster proportions, while the front-mounted V8 and rear-wheel-drive layout preserve a traditional sports-car configuration. The chassis combines double-wishbone front suspension with a semi-trailing-arm rear arrangement, giving this version a distinctive mechanical setup. A five-speed manual gearbox completes its straightforward, driver-focused design.
Produced from 1991–1993, the V8S uses a 3.9-litre naturally aspirated V8 with an OHV valvetrain and single-point fuel injection. It develops 240 hp at 5,500 rpm and 275 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. Power reaches the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. AutoSpecsHub lists a 0–60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and a 146 mph top speed. The two-seat convertible also offers 9 cubic feet of luggage space.
