The TVR S Series S3C brings a traditional British roadster character to the marque's compact convertible range. Its long bonnet, low windscreen and two-seat cabin give it classic sports-car proportions, while the front-mounted V6 and rear-wheel-drive layout create a straightforward mechanical package. The chassis combines double-wishbone front suspension with semi-trailing-arm rear suspension. Rear drum brakes are another distinctive detail of this version, setting its equipment apart from the V8-powered S Series models.
Produced from 1993–1995, the S3C uses a 2.9-litre naturally aspirated V6 with an OHV valvetrain, 12 valves and single-point fuel injection. It develops 166 hp at 5,400 rpm and 173 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm, paired with a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. AutoSpecsHub lists a 0–60 mph time of 6.9 seconds and a 140 mph top speed. The two-seat convertible provides 7.9 cubic feet of luggage space.
