The TVR S Series S3 is a compact British convertible that combines traditional roadster proportions with a naturally aspirated V6. Its long bonnet, low windscreen and two-seat cabin give it a purposeful open-top character, while the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout follows a classic sports-car formula. The chassis pairs double-wishbone front suspension with semi-trailing-arm rear suspension. Vented front disc brakes and rear drum brakes complete its distinctive mechanical configuration.
Produced from 1990–1993, the S3 uses a 2.9-litre V6 with an OHV valvetrain and 12 valves. It develops 168 hp at 6,000 rpm and 176 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm, with power delivered through a five-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. AutoSpecsHub lists a 0–60 mph time of 6.6 seconds and a 140 mph top speed. The two-seat convertible also provides 9 cubic feet of luggage space.
