The TVR S Series S3 V8 gives the marque’s compact convertible range a distinctly muscular character. Its long bonnet, low cabin and two-seat layout create classic British roadster proportions, while the front-mounted V8 and rear-wheel-drive arrangement keep the mechanical package traditional. The chassis pairs double-wishbone front suspension with a semi-trailing-arm rear setup, a distinction that sets this model apart from Griffith variants. A five-speed manual gearbox completes its straightforward, driver-focused configuration.
For 1993–1995, the S3 V8 uses a 3.9-litre naturally aspirated V8 with an OHV valvetrain and single-point fuel injection. It produces 237 hp at 5,250 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. AutoSpecsHub lists a 0–60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and a 148 mph top speed. The convertible seats two and provides 7.9 cubic feet of luggage space.
