MSRP:$6,000 – $9,000
The Wagon 2.0 16v was one of the more practical ways to experience Kia’s original Sportage, combining the compact SUV’s traditional 4x4 character with a five-door body designed for everyday use. Its boxy proportions and upright stance belonged to an era when utility mattered more than sleek crossover styling. The cabin could accommodate five, while the rear cargo area expanded significantly with the seats folded, making this version better suited to family duties than the shorter open-roof derivatives.
For 2002–2003, the Sportage Wagon 2.0 16v uses a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 116 hp and 122 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual or four-speed automatic works with four-wheel drive, giving it a 15.0-second 0–60 mph time and a 107-mph top speed. The relaxed performance reflects its practical, utility-first purpose rather than any attempt at sporty driving.
