The 2005–2009 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged marked a major performance step for the third-generation L322, replacing the earlier naturally aspirated V8 approach with a 4.2-liter supercharged Jaguar V8. Producing 391 hp and 413 lb-ft on AutoSpecsHub, it sends power through a six-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel-drive system. This wasn't simply a more powerful Range Rover: the supercharged engine gave the large luxury SUV considerably stronger acceleration while retaining the L322's distinctive combination of high-speed refinement and genuine off-road capability.
Its defining character is the unusual combination of performance and traditional Range Rover capability. The 7.3-second 0–60 mph time and 130-mph top speed put it firmly into performance-luxury territory for its era, while permanent AWD, low-range gearing, and a 7,716-lb towing capacity preserved the utility expected from a Range Rover. The 4.2-liter supercharged V8 also arrived alongside the 2005 L322 update, which brought broader design, technology, and refinement improvements.
