The Reva G-Wiz Revai represents an early approach to affordable electric mobility, designed around the practical demands of short urban journeys. Its compact micro-hatchback body, narrow proportions and simple exterior reflect a focus on manoeuvrability and efficient use of limited road space. Rather than offering the size or refinement of a conventional passenger car, the Revai prioritises straightforward transportation in congested city environments. Its small cabin and lightweight construction suit drivers who value easy parking and low-speed convenience, making it an example of the compact electric vehicles that preceded the wider adoption of modern EVs.
Produced from 2008 to 2009, the Revai uses an electric motor producing 16 hp, supported by a 9.6 kWh battery pack. A direct-drive transmission sends power to the rear wheels, while MacPherson strut front suspension and trailing-arm rear suspension support its lightweight design. With a top speed of 50 mph and a stated range of 48 miles, it is best suited to local travel rather than long-distance driving. Its modest output, simple electric drivetrain and compact dimensions define its character as an early urban electric vehicle.
