The 2013–2014 KTM X-Bow GT brought a more road-focused interpretation to KTM’s radically lightweight sports car formula. Developed from the track-oriented X-Bow, the GT added a heated windscreen, side windows that function as doors and a removable soft top, making the car more practical for road use while retaining its distinctive carbon-fiber monocoque and minimalist character. Its low-slung proportions, rear-mid-engine layout and extremely lightweight construction kept the focus firmly on driver involvement, while the GT’s added weather protection gave the X-Bow a broader road-going character without moving far from its motorsport-inspired roots.
The 2013–2014 X-Bow GT uses a turbocharged 1.984-liter inline-four producing 281 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with 0–62 mph taking 4.1 seconds and top speed reaching 144 mph. Weighing just 1,867 pounds, the X-Bow GT combines a carbon-fiber chassis, rear-mid-engine configuration and rear-wheel drive with a high power-to-weight ratio. Its double-wishbone suspension, powerful Brembo brakes and compact dimensions further reinforce the lightweight, performance-focused character that distinguishes the KTM from more conventional sports cars.
