The 2014–2026 KTM X-Bow R continued KTM’s extreme lightweight sports-car philosophy with a minimalist design focused almost entirely on driver involvement. Its carbon-fiber construction, open cockpit and rear-mid-engine layout keep the two-seat sports roadster closely connected to the road, while exposed suspension components and compact proportions give it a distinctly race-inspired character. Rather than adding conventional comfort features, the X-Bow R emphasizes low weight, direct handling and a strong connection between driver and machine.
The 2014–2026 X-Bow R uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four producing 296 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 3.8 seconds and top speed reaching 144 mph. Weighing just 1,742 pounds, its combination of rear-mid-engine layout, rear-wheel drive and lightweight construction gives the X-Bow R a focused performance foundation.
