The TVR Griffith 500 combines classic British roadster proportions with a powerful front-mounted V8 and a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive layout. Its low stance, long bonnet and compact two-seat cabin give it a purposeful sports-car appearance, while double-wishbone suspension at both ends reflects its performance-focused chassis design. With a traditional manual gearbox and a naturally aspirated engine, the Griffith delivers a direct, mechanically engaging driving character.
Produced from 1994–1995, this version uses a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 with an OHV valvetrain and single-point fuel injection. It produces 322 hp at 5,500 rpm and 355 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm, paired with a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. AutoSpecsHub lists a 0–60 mph time of 4.4 seconds and a 162 mph top speed. The two-seat convertible also provides 10.9 cubic feet of luggage space.
