MSRP:$3,500 – $6,500
The Actyon took an unconventional approach to compact SUV design, pairing a high-riding body with a sharply descending rear roofline that gave it an almost coupe-like silhouette. Unlike many rivals built around front-wheel-drive platforms, the petrol-powered 230 4x2 used a longitudinal engine and rear-wheel-drive layout, giving it a more traditional mechanical arrangement. Its distinctive styling and unusual proportions helped the first-generation Actyon stand apart in a segment dominated by more conventional family crossovers.
For 2007–2009, the 2.3-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine produces 148 hp and 214 Nm of torque, with power delivered through either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. Double-wishbone front suspension and a live rear axle reflect its traditional SUV engineering, while its 2,100 kg braked towing capacity adds useful capability beyond everyday passenger transport.
