The CC850 was created as a bridge between Koenigsegg’s earliest cars and its modern hypercar technology. Its silhouette deliberately echoes the original CC8S, but the mechanical concept is thoroughly contemporary, most notably through the Engage Shift System. One transmission can behave like a six-speed manual with a clutch pedal or operate as a nine-speed automatic, allowing the driver to choose between an old-school connection and modern rapid shifting. That unusual combination makes the CC850 a celebration of Koenigsegg’s past without simply recreating it.
For 2023–2026, the CC850 uses a twin-turbo 5.1-liter V8 producing 1,385 hp on E85 and 1,185 hp on gasoline, with 1,022 lb-ft of torque. The nine-speed Light Speed Transmission incorporates the six-speed manual-style mode and drives the rear wheels. Its 1,385-kg curb weight creates Koenigsegg’s claimed 1:1 power-to-weight ratio when running E85, giving the car an especially focused performance identity.
