2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 Specs & Performance

The N420 gave the V8 Vantage a distinctly motorsport-influenced identity, building on the lessons Aston Martin had gathered from endurance racing. Introduced for 2010, it retained the naturally aspirated V8 but paired its 420 hp and 347 lb-ft with a sharper specification, rear-wheel drive and a 180-mph top speed. Its 4.7-liter engine and 4.7-second 0–60 mph acceleration made it a focused evolution of the standard V8 Vantage rather than a completely different car.

The special edition was limited to 420 Coupés and 420 Roadsters, with lightweight carbon-fibre and Kevlar seats, forged alloy wheels, sports exhaust and other weight-saving measures contributing to its character. A six-speed manual was available alongside the optional Sportshift automated manual, while double-wishbone suspension and ventilated discs maintained the Vantage's familiar chassis architecture. The N420's combination of racing-inspired details and everyday road manners made it a particularly purposeful chapter in the first-generation Vantage story.
