The V8 Vantage S Roadster was Aston Martin’s answer to drivers who wanted the sharper edge of the Vantage S without giving up the freedom of an open cockpit. The 2012–2018 model paired the naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V8 with rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed Sportshift transmission, producing 430 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque. A 190 mph top speed and 4.8-second 0–62 mph time gave it serious pace, but the car’s appeal was its sense of occasion: a compact roadster, high-revving V8 and an exhaust note that became part of the driving experience.

Rather than simply adding power, Aston Martin used the S treatment to sharpen the entire package. The wider stance, sportier chassis calibration and larger brakes gave the Roadster greater composure when driven hard, while its lightweight wheels and purposeful detailing reinforced the more aggressive character. Double-wishbone suspension at both ends preserved the Vantage’s balanced handling, and the intimate two-seat cabin kept the focus firmly on the driver.
