2012–2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster Specs & Performance

The V12 Vantage Roadster took Aston Martin’s compact Vantage formula and replaced restraint with a naturally aspirated 5.9-liter V12. Covering 2012–2013, it produced 510 hp and 420 lb-ft, with a six-speed manual gearbox sending power to the rear wheels. Its 190-mph top speed and 4.5-second 0–62 mph acceleration gave the open-top Vantage the pace expected from its flagship engine, while the 3,880-pound curb weight reflected the additional chassis reinforcement required for a convertible.

The Roadster was also deliberately more than a roofless version of the V12 Vantage. Aston Martin strengthened the structure, revised the chassis, and fitted performance-focused equipment including carbon-ceramic brakes and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Limited production made it an uncommon member of the Vantage family, while the long-bonnet proportions, two-seat cabin and sonorous V12 gave it a character distinct from more conventional grand tourers. It remains an example of Aston Martin combining traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive architecture with a highly focused performance brief.
