2008–2018 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Specs & Performance

The 2008 update transformed the Aston Martin V8 Vantage into a more capable evolution of the original compact sports coupe, replacing its earlier 4.3-liter engine with a 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V8. For 2008–2018, it delivered 420 hp and 347 lb-ft through a six-speed transmission, with rear-wheel drive and a 180-mph top speed. The 4.6-second 0–60 mph figure reflected the stronger engine while retaining the Vantage’s relatively compact dimensions and low-slung proportions.

The character of the car came from the balance between its aluminum-intensive structure, front-engine layout and traditional rear-wheel-drive chassis. Double-wishbone suspension at both ends, ventilated disc brakes and 19-inch wheels supported its sporting credentials, while the two-seat cabin and 10.6-cubic-foot luggage area gave it a practical side without turning it into a conventional grand tourer. The combination of naturally aspirated response, a high-revving V8 and understated British styling made this V8 Vantage an important development in the modern Vantage lineage.
