2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 Roadster Specs & Performance

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 Roadster was created to bring the atmosphere of Aston Martin’s Nürburgring racing program into a road-going convertible. The 2010 special edition built on the 4.7-liter V8 Vantage, with 420 hp and 347 lb-ft driving the rear wheels through a six-speed gearbox. Its 180 mph top speed and 4.9-second 0–62 mph time were impressive, but the N420’s appeal came from the details: carbon-fiber aerodynamic pieces, distinctive diamond-turned wheels and a sports exhaust gave it a more purposeful personality than the standard Roadster.

Aston Martin also gave the N420 Sports Pack suspension as standard, while extensive use of carbon fiber helped reduce weight by up to 27 kg. The Roadster retained the Vantage’s intimate two-seat layout and naturally aspirated V8 character, but its motorsport-inspired equipment made the car feel more connected to the brand’s endurance-racing efforts. Limited production added another layer of exclusivity, with Aston Martin planning just 420 Roadsters alongside 420 Coupés. The result was a special-edition convertible that celebrated racing heritage without abandoning the refinement and craftsmanship expected from an Aston Martin.
