The 2013–2016 Maserati Quattroporte GTS represents the most dramatic expression of the fifth-generation Quattroporte, turning a large luxury sedan into something much closer to a high-speed grand tourer. Its imposing proportions and unmistakably Italian styling give it considerable presence, while the GTS designation brings a much stronger performance character than the more restrained versions in the range. It remains a practical four-door Maserati, but its personality is shaped far more by its powerful twin-turbo V8 than by conventional executive-car priorities.
A 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 523 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, sending its power through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. It reaches 191 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, giving the Quattroporte GTS genuine super-sedan pace. With 18.7 cubic feet of luggage space, it also retains useful practicality beneath its performance-focused character. The result is a distinctive Maserati that combines dramatic styling, immense V8 power and rear-wheel-drive performance in one refined package.
