The MG TF 115 brought a more modern edge to MG’s lightweight roadster, combining revised styling and suspension with a compact mid-engine layout. Its low-slung body, two-seat cabin and open-top design preserved the driver-focused character of the original MG F, while double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear setup supported agile handling. As the entry-level TF model, the 115 emphasized accessible sports-car enjoyment and everyday usability rather than outright speed, retaining the distinctive appeal of a small British roadster.
The 2002–2011 MG F / TF 115 uses a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter inline-four producing 114 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 9.5 seconds and 0–62 mph taking 9.8 seconds. Top speed reaches 118 mph, while its 2,414-pound curb weight supports nimble handling and responsive road manners. The result is a compact sports roadster suited to enjoyable drives on winding roads and with the roof down.
