The Korando 2.2 e-XDi 220 2WD marked an important step in the evolution of SsangYong's compact SUV, bringing a stronger diesel engine and a more refined road-focused character. For 2015–2017, the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel produces 176 hp and 295 lb·ft of torque at 1,400 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels, delivering a 0–60 mph time of 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 115 mph. Its flexible luggage compartment, expanding from 17.2 to 46.3 ft³, adds useful versatility for shopping, family travel and longer journeys.
