2011, 2012, 2013
MSRP:$5,000 – $9,000
The Korando 2.0 e-XDi 200 2WD introduced a more modern, road-focused character to SsangYong's compact SUV range. Its five-door body and spacious five-seat cabin make it a practical choice for family use, while front-wheel drive provides a straightforward layout for everyday journeys. The combination of MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension gives it a conventional foundation for balanced handling and passenger comfort. Its adaptable luggage compartment also makes it useful for carrying everything from daily shopping to holiday bags.
For 2011–2013, the 1,998 cc turbo-diesel produces 173 hp and 266 lb·ft of torque at 2,000 rpm. Six-speed manual and automatic transmissions were available, both driving the front wheels. With a listed 0–60 mph time of 9.7 seconds and a top speed of 111 mph, the Korando offers useful performance for commuting and longer motorway journeys without sacrificing its practical SUV character.
