2011, 2012
MSRP:$15,000 – $22,000
The 2011 Jeep Wrangler 3.8 stayed firmly connected to the traditional Wrangler formula, combining its compact three-door body with part-time four-wheel drive and live axles at both ends. Its short 95.4-inch wheelbase kept the SUV relatively compact, reinforcing its trail-oriented character, while the naturally aspirated V6 provided straightforward power without turbocharging. This version focused on the fundamentals that made the Wrangler distinctive: simple mechanical hardware, four-wheel-drive capability, and an unmistakable off-road identity.
For 2011–2012, the Wrangler 3.8 uses a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 producing 196 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches all four wheels through either a 4-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. It reaches 107 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 10.3 seconds, while its 19.7 mpg combined economy complements its compact dimensions and traditional four-wheel-drive architecture.
