2012, 2013, 2014
MSRP:$20,000 – $28,000
The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 3.6 V6 brought a more powerful engine to the four-door Wrangler while preserving the rugged hardware that defined the JK generation. Its 116-inch wheelbase and five-door layout made it considerably more practical for passengers and cargo, yet live axles and four-wheel drive kept its engineering focused on traditional off-road capability. The naturally aspirated Pentastar V6 gave the Unlimited a stronger, more responsive character without changing the unmistakable personality of the Wrangler.
For 2012–2014, the Wrangler Unlimited 3.6 V6 uses a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 producing 280 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission sends power through four-wheel drive, helping the SUV reach 112 mph and accelerate from 0–60 mph in 8.6 seconds. Its 20.1 mpg combined economy provides reasonable everyday efficiency for a five-door, four-wheel-drive SUV weighing 4,376 pounds.
