The Suzuki Ignis 1.2 Dualjet+SHVS ALLGRIP adds four-wheel-drive traction to the compact, upright design that distinguishes this small crossover. Its short body and raised seating position make it easy to handle in town, while the five-door layout provides convenient access to a four-seat cabin. Sliding rear seats help balance passenger legroom against luggage space, and folding them creates a larger load area when needed. The ALLGRIP version gives up some carrying capacity compared with the front-wheel-drive model, but offers extra reassurance when roads become slippery or uneven.
Its 1,242 cc K12C Dualjet engine develops 89 hp and 89 lb·ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. Suzuki’s SHVS mild-hybrid system uses an integrated starter-generator and lithium-ion battery to recover energy during deceleration and assist the engine under acceleration. A five-speed manual gearbox works with the ALLGRIP drivetrain, giving this version a more engaging setup than the CVT alternative. Produced from 2017–2020, it combines modest petrol-engine output with added traction in a lightweight, city-sized package.
