The Suzuki Ignis 1.2 Dualjet Hybrid ALLGRIP combines the compact proportions of a city car with a four-wheel-drive system designed to provide extra confidence on slippery or loose surfaces. Its upright five-door body makes good use of a small footprint, while the four-seat cabin and sliding rear seats allow occupants to balance legroom against luggage space. This version sacrifices some carrying capacity compared with the front-wheel-drive model, but gains traction that makes it more versatile beyond smooth urban roads. Its appeal is practical rather than rugged: a lightweight crossover with modest dimensions and added drivetrain capability.
The 1,197 cc K12D engine produces 82 hp and 79 lb·ft of torque at 2,800 rpm, supported by Suzuki’s SHVS mild-hybrid system. A five-speed manual gearbox is paired with the ALLGRIP four-wheel-drive layout; unlike the CVT model, this configuration retains conventional manual gear selection. Introduced in 2020, it combines fuel-saving hybrid assistance with a torsion-beam rear suspension and a compact 95.9-inch wheelbase.
