The Suzuki Ignis 1.2 Dualjet+SHVS combines the compact proportions of a city car with the flexibility of a small crossover. Its raised seating position improves the driver's view of the road, while the upright cabin and sliding rear seats make the most of its limited exterior dimensions. In this SZ5 configuration, the rear bench accommodates four occupants and can move forward or backward to prioritise passenger legroom or luggage space. The result is a practical little car that feels adaptable in everyday use without becoming bulky or difficult to park.
Power comes from Suzuki's 1,242 cc K12C Dualjet engine, producing 89 hp and 89 lb·ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. The SHVS mild-hybrid system adds an integrated starter-generator and lithium-ion battery to recover energy during deceleration and provide electric torque assistance. Unlike a full hybrid, it does not drive the car independently on electric power. A five-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive complete this configuration. Offered from 2017–2020, it brings efficiency-focused hybrid assistance to the original third-generation Ignis.
