The Lancia Ypsilon 1.4 8v 77 continued the second-generation model’s blend of distinctive Italian styling and compact urban practicality. Its small three-door body gave it an individual character within the hatchback class, while the four-seat cabin kept the focus on everyday usability. With a front-mounted engine and front-wheel drive, the Ypsilon was designed primarily for straightforward city and commuter driving rather than outright performance, combining its compact proportions with a simple naturally aspirated petrol powertrain.
The 2007–2011 Lancia Ypsilon 1.4 8v 77 uses a naturally aspirated 1.4-liter inline-four producing 76 hp and 85 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed transmission sends power to the front wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 13.1 seconds and top speed reaching 104 mph. Its modest output, compact dimensions and uncomplicated mechanical layout made the Ypsilon well suited to economical everyday motoring.
