The third-generation Tucson marked a more polished stage in Hyundai’s compact-SUV evolution, and the 2.0 CRDi 4WD 136 was built for drivers who wanted diesel torque without giving up the added traction of four-wheel drive. Its clean, modern shape moved the Tucson further toward the mainstream family-SUV market, while the diesel powertrain gave it a distinctly relaxed character on longer journeys. This version was less about quick acceleration and more about making everyday travel effortless, particularly when extra traction was useful.
For 2015–2020, the Tucson 2.0 CRDi uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four producing 134 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed transmission drives all four wheels, with peak torque available from 1,500 rpm. The 10.5-second 0–60 mph time reflects its measured approach, while the strong torque output gives this compact SUV the pulling power expected from a larger diesel-powered vehicle.
